walking billboard concert!
BONO, U2, DON CHEATLE, MIA FARROW and many others have stood up and spoken out about the attrocities taking place in Darfur, Sudan and on Thursday, May 1st, 2008 Steppers Heaven 'played an instrumental' role in the BE A WALKING BILLBOARD concert on at The MET in Providence starting at 7pm.
WBRU 95.5, BLAZE Restaurants, Spadyssey Day Spa, and more!
WBRU sponsored and broadcast regular announcements of the event in the weeks leading up to the the show. The event was catered by Blaze Restaurants (of Hope and Thayer Street). It was a phenominal mixed media and arts event (Live musical performances, fashion, spoken poetry and more) that was well worth the price of addmission. The proceeds of this event will be used to provide assistance and safe drinking water for the helpless in Darfur. Sponsors will also be giving away cool freebies.

ONE GIANT STEP: NEW LOGO and then some!
Steppers Heaven is about to make a giant leap forward. STEPPING ONTO THE SCENE
The smooth, sultry and soulful sound of music being played the way it was meant to be. The songs belted out by Steppers Heaven are as cool as the other side of the pillow. The group is made up of Bobby Bishop (vocals/guitar), Terrell 'Model T' Brown (vocals/guitar) and their band.
Blue Soul Meets Rock and Roll.
Delivering a sound that is a mix of The Blues, R&B, Reggae and Rock, Steppers Heaven is music that you will feel. They draw from their wealth of experience to deliver mesmorizing live performances that hold audiences captive.
Bobby and Terelle have been noted street musicians in Boston for several years, having taken it to a level rarely seen these days...appearing on the radio, on TV, the paper, documentaries, the studio, and of course the stage.
MUSIC IN THE MAKING
Currently Steppers Heaven is in the middle of an 11-week Original Songwriters Contest of the Bands. This contest is taking place at Tazza in Providence RI on Sundays.
Next Round:
Round 3 is coming up and we will find out this week if we made the cut! If we did, competition is going to heat up tremendously and we are going to blow the doors off the building with our next performance.
We've done great so far, however we know that we are going to have to kick it into some unknown 7th gear to win this thing
NEWS & UPCOMING SHOWS
Steppers Heaven is currently in the process of recording their first CD titled ‘Downtown Crossing’. The band has poured themselves out writing and recording this compilation and the results speak for themselves.
The CD has been an instant hit with those who have heard it thusfar. As one fan stated: "It only takes one song, and your hooked!"
The first seven songs are available for purchase on CD, or at any live performance for $8.00 USD (it is available for $7 via DOWNLOAD).
